Which Social Media Platform should I be using?

Buzy Bee
Do you ever wonder when it’s going to stop! How many social media platforms can there be? Which ones should you really be on? Is there a right way to do this thing called social media? How many changes can one social media platform make before you go crazy? Don’t you just want to scream?

Welcome to my world.

I could get dizzy with the entire buzz about social media these days. It’s seems like everyone is suggesting a new one or no- you need to be on that one.

Well let’s keep it simple. That’s my motto. Plus if you’re not having fun- then why do it. Just saying!

So if Facebook is the number one platform, then it makes sense to be on Facebook. If Google owns YouTube, and Google+ and the number one search engine- then I’m thinking it makes sense to be on Google+ and let’s throw some fun videos in there for YouTube.

So now I’m up to 3 social media platforms.

Should I add Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest to the mix?

That will depend on if you think you will use them.

Should you go ahead and grab your handle name on each one of these platforms even if you don’t plan on really using them. Lots of mixed feelings on this one! On one hand, yes so you could have your handle name, on the other- if you don’t plan on using it then who cares. Just saying. I know- you might want to use it later.

The good news is there is no right or wrong. It’s totally up to you.

Now all that being said I did grab a Pinterest account and have really been having fun with it. Pinterest is now up to the #3 social media platform. And depending on who you listen to – it will fall as quickly as it shot to this place or that it’s hot and someone will buy it out. We will just have to stay tuned to see.

Now I must say there is a better way to use all these social media platforms for your business, and I plan on helping you learn them.
